TBBS Box is a stock standard 386 with an Accton Network card in it.. Set the IPX stuff up on it quite easily Gateway machine is running NT4 workstation. Installed the IPX stuff and it worked ok.. ran Netterm (my telnet program) after TIAD was up and running telnetted localhost and bingo !! local testing ok... dialled into my ISP, ran command prompt in a window and ran ipconfig giving me my dynamic address, then telnetted into it .. bingo again... I'd say the most important thing is to make sure the network is up and running ok first, then try a telnetting localhost whilst your not dialed into the net .. I'll post my batchfiles on the TBBS box, with a few pointers on setting it up at it's end, and my NT settings if that will help anyone... Regards, John Brought to you by http://www.tbbs.org
