Have tried loading IPX and then TIAD in debug mode. All I get is "error

yes i had this same problem when i was running Win2K server with 2 network
cards

I have a router (an Efficient Networks 5861, I think it is) and have NAT enabled. I have only the one network card in this computer and I cleaned the registry not long ago.

The problem was that I was calling bind() on an IPX socket. What's interesting about this is apparently there are cases where WinSock doesn't return an error when you do this. (It probably should always return an error.)

I assume it might have something to do with the version of NWlink loaded as well as a few other seemingly random factors.

In any case removing the bind() call doesn't change the operation of TIAD at all and seems more correct judging by the cryptic documentation about using IPX with WinSock.

Yet another reason it's still alpha software. :)
