Re: TIAD for TBBS

Of course! You're right. I got them the wrong way round! It's TIPX that is loaded with TBBS. TIPXI14 is the slave which I use when logging in to TBBS from across the LAN.

And neither TIPX or TIPXI14 are needed on the Windows machine which runs TIAD. (Just for clarification.)

Yes, well I have IPX working OK on the BBS computer under DOS. I, too, can't get both IPX and TCP/IP working together on the same machine - which makes it a problem on the Internet machine. That *has* to have TCP/IP enabled. But does TIAD have its own IPX stack or do I have to load IPX on the machine that runs TIAD?

NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS and TCP/IP must both be loaded under the network configuration screen of the network adapter. In addition you must go into the properties of NWLink and set all of the following:

Internal network number: Any non-zero value
Frame Type: Ethernet 802.3
Network number: Any non-zero value and something besides the Internal network number

Or have I misunderstood completely and TIAD has to be loaded on the TBBS machine?

Nope, you've got it correct. Two machines, one running DOS/TBBS the other running Windows/TIAD.

Also, I'm making a new version of TIAD to help track down the error your getting. I'll email it to you.
