Unless you find a bbs that is written to run on Linux, I wouldn't try to run it under Linux. Running a old multi-line bbs like the MBBS or Tbbs are exercises in stuborness if your sucessful, and futility if your not. There is a Perl? script called Anyboard, that I just ran accross, it features all the stuff we used to expect in a high end bbs. eg. chat, message system, polling, logons, etc. I probably won't get my copy up before Christmas. 1 of the things that irritates me the most about the script-based "bulletin board" systems you can download, is they are really script-based message systems.... nothing more.
