I actually have synchronet and I am not that fond of it. I think that the way it handles telnet is awsome, but since I am not a programmer I find it difficult to change menu's around. Also I have tried to get doors working and can not. It may jusy be my computer setup but I tried to get LORD and TW2002 working and the both crash and will not ever start. I own a few modules for WG1 and have had no problem getting them to work at a local level, so I do not anticipate a problem with them remotely. Plus I am very comfortable with WG. Thanks for the thought though "brad" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > i stated this on a prev newsgroup..but get the synchronet bbs pkg it is > freeware avail in windows32 mode..win me or win pro or win xp...also avail > in linux > > it has a pkg built in that compares well with features in vircom tcp/ip pkg > ..the added benifit is written in is a true win32 fossil driver for making > all those pesky door game programs actually run in multinode format w/o a > lot of hassle so you can get a game server out of this gateway to your > major/wg bbs as well > > it also has a mbbs style menu you can pick or make your own..check out > > www.synchro.net (again it is freeware and still updates are being made) > > www.doormud.com (has a page on connecting synchronet bbs pkg with worldgroup > also has a door clone of majormud you can get > > there is also a 16 node version of tw2002 that is in a rlogin server mode > avail the site should be easy to find google..look for tw2002 server beta or > some such search i ran tw2002 and sychronet game server on same machine w/o > any problems..and the wg bbs was connected off that > > synchronet is about 2 versions away from being essentially worldgroup 1.01 > with inet built in... > > brad > > > "newsgroups.bellsouth.net" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message > news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > > I have an older version of Worldgroup i.e. Major BBS.
