HOLY MOLEY - NNTP STUFF

I can not believe the ammount of differences between servers.
Down here in the shop, I connect to news.verizon.net (Which is part of my
DSL modem)
but I searching for free nntp servers for my worldgroup that will allow
annonimous posting so my users can use it.
and i found like 5 of them, but thoes servers in the alt.bbs.majorbbs have a
TOTALLY different list of messages from verizon.  Some have only 5, some
have 120, verizon has 318 and over 1/2 of them are non majorbbs related, but
the one that had 120 is mostly majorbbs but mine and corey's posts dont go
over to that server?

So either usenet is not 100% interconnected like it should be
or
some people block verizon.net because of spam.
