Data storage survey

I am looking for some comparison data for commercially available storage 
media/devices. I am mainly interested in comparing real world values for 
low capacity (< 300MB) spinning or solid state RW media. Things like 
total write cycles, data transfer rates, power use, drive life, media 
shelf life. Lots of new media in the last few years, so what's the scoop?
