Mark, I've had an engineer out from SUN as it's one of their StorEdge L20 units that I'm having this identical problem on. He fitted a new drive but the problem remained. I've switched drives, SCSI controllers, cables and also assigned different SCSI IDs to the drives but the problem persists. The engineer didn't have much of a clue either. My guess is that it must be a problem with the board in the L20 itself. You didn't mention what hardware and software problem you were running on ? cheers, Tony "mark deamico" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > "PPH" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... > > I know with our exabyte drive I must disable the tape drive in the device > > manager.
