First you should check if your tape drives are visible from OS: (HKLM/Hardware/Devicemap/SCSI/SCSI Port n) You should find there the Library Controller and the Tape drives. Tapes that have a loaded Tape driver have an entry like DeviceName: REG_SZ: Tape n If you can't find any Library Controller or Tape Drives something must be wrong with your Switch Zoning or Device Mapping in the SCSI/FC Router. This Router can be accessed via serial connection (with a special serial cable which comes with the router itself) of via IP (e.g. Hyperterminal connection to that IP address). Default serial parameters are: 9600, 8, N, 1 My recommendation for router settings are Indexed Mode - not automapped scsi-devices René
