You should take a look at On Time RTOS-32 (http://www.on-time.com). It's a
Win32 subset real-time operating system. Minimum memory footprint is 16k (not
megabytes!). It supports C/C++ and Delphi and is royalty free.

You can download a free test version from On Time's Web site.
