Thanks very much for the input.  The recording a macro and then
playing with the code worked a treat, once the weekly totals are added
to the cumulative I just blank out the weekly totals.  The audit trail
isn't a problem as this is just recording hours spent on particular
types of work, there's no money or charging involved (but it was a
good thought, so thanks for pointing it out).
