Fixing cell sizes for cut and paste?

Hello,

I have to create a spreadsheet with addresses from the web.  I am
going from site to site putting in Names, Contacts, Email and URL.

The problem is when I cut and paste from certain sites - the cell size
becomes huge and overwrites other data in the record.

I selected all the spread sheet - right clicked - chose format cell -
chose the alignment tabl - selected GENERAL for hoizontal alighnment,
left veritcal blank, and only had 'shrink to fit' checked off.

Should this not now force all cut and pasted items to shrink to fit in
every cell?

This is what I want to do.
