numbering cell names in Excel

Does anyone know how to get Excel to label cells in a column so that
it repeats a word but adds ascending numbers to the word in each cell?
 (i.e. I want column A to read Dog1, Dog2, Dog3...Dog160 without
having to type "Dog" and the numbers for each individual cell).
