Soon the city asked all businesses near the clock to move out. All businesses. Tattoo shops, psychics, among the many small businesses in the area. They asked them to move their business more inward town, because fancy franchizes are now planned in the area. All the small businesses fought to stay. But it was too late. The 3 million dollar clock was already in place. There was nothing they could do. Starbucks coffee and friends were coming to town. As the ordinary companies were forced to move more and more inward town in this manner, I coined the process: collective garbage near the center of town. In outer towns one cannot even open an ordinary business. Not a local bread store, not a family restaurant. Nothing that is not a proven to be some high profile franchize business. I concluded that Iraq was the same story. The 3 million clock was placed there. There was no stopping. George
