Dear Dr. Sizemore,
I am not sure if you are correct in saying that behaviorism does
dispense with all mental concepts. The common argument is that radical
behaviorism cannot accomplish that in general. I don't want to go into
that discussion but you should be aware that there is such a
philosophical view.
Secondly, I was wrong in jumping into the middle of a discussion
without actually checking my facts.
What I wonder is, if Skinner did think that we can explain the origins
of behavior, how did he propose we should have done that?
Also, what would the content of such an explanation be? Would not it
be necessarily focused on the computational aspects CNS?
