CFP: SPECIAL SESSION ON
INNOVATIVE TRENDS IN MATHEMATICAL MODELS OF IMPRECISION
FUZZ-IEEE 2004 2004 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems July 25-28, 2004 Budapest, Hungary
Fuzzy sets and rough sets, by virtue of their long-standing theoretical and applied tradition, by their high cross-disciplinary content as well as by their nicely complementary paradigmatic roles, are especially well-suited to take up a leading role and to set a standard in the process.
In this session, by focussing on extensions of either model on one hand, and on hybridizations and comparisons between them on the other hand, we aim at boosting the interaction and mutual understanding between these two major players in the field, and at providing the necessary stimulus for their further development. We therefore welcome original contributions pertaining to, but not limited to, the following topics:
* interval-valued and intuitionistic fuzzy sets
* type 2 fuzzy sets
* generalizations of rough sets
* fuzzy-rough hybridizationhe session is organized in the scope of the IEEE Task Force on Extensions to Type-1 Fuzzy sets.
Prospective authors are invited to submit an extended abstract with minimum 4 and maximum 6 pages by email. Please follow the formatting instructions posted at the FUZZ-IEEE website. Submissions are due January, 15. For more details, contact the session organizers at
