Unfortunately, it has a major limitation; it can only handle numeric inputs and outputs. In almost twenty years of building rule-based fuzzy systems, almost none of the few dozen programs I have written have only numeric inputs and outputs. Virtually all of the outputs are non-numeric, i.e. words. I suggest looking at my Web page users.aol.com/wsiler/, where there is a short (and out-of-date) manual on Building Fuzzy Expert Systems. The program itself, FLOPS, can be downloaded from users.aol.com/FlopsDemo/. Nevertheless, Rob should be congratulated on creating a very compact program to demonstrate the rock-bottom basics of fuzzy control for newcomers. I do hope he will add help files, which are badly needed. William Siler
