I guess it depends on what you expect out of your equipment. Or maybe you didn't know how to use it. Like I said, this 70's Ludwig rail I have is awesome. One's it's adjusted it's rock steady. It's not the tongue-and-clip style. I've never come up against one of those and maybe they are more problematic? This Ludwig has a ratchet connection, so it's as secure as any cymbal tilter. None of those clock-dial things. For the record, when I originally made my comments regarding the hieght-adjustable one, I was aware Rob had it on a 16". I just simply forgot to say that a 16" bass drum might be the only reason someone may ever want a height adjustable rail. But on an 18", a stock one is already too big IMHO. -- -- Anthony Giampa; [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Pity makes me strong." -- Conan O'Brien "morris" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > "Anthony Giampa" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in message news:<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>... > > Rob, I cannot understand why anyone would want a height adjustable rail > > mount. > > > yea, and some of us don't understand haow anyone can play a rail mount > at all. it sucked when i was 10 and it still sucks. and that was on > an oaklawn camco 18, 12, 14 > > > so there..... we're even......
