You will have to make sure you feed your soundcard with line level
audio. If you feed the turntable direct to the soundcard the level
will be way too low.

Also, the equalisation will be stuffed. You would need to feed the
turntable output to an amplifier that raises the audio to line level
as well as restoring the equalisation to the same as the original
sound.
