I've been pretty happy with the utility of the 2 'Resolectrics' I built. One is full out with both cone and magnetic (P-90) internal pre-ampo etc. and it works well as a PA'd guitar and sounds good for that purpose. It also works pretty well as an electric but it's sustain is very limited and I've never been completely happy with it's electric tone. The other was tossed together for a show where I needed 2 electrics and has only a magnetic (Tele neck p/u) but nothing on the cone. This one is just a screaming slide monster and gives off an amazing 'Elmore' tone and growl. The 'good' electric one is Fender's 25.5" scale and the other is a Gibson 24.75" scale. Pete (or anybody else) do you think that scale alone is enough to account for the difference in the electic tone, or do I maybe have a dud of a P-90? I run 11's and 12s on both (heavier on the short scale) Mike http://www.MaricopaGuitarCo.com
