Dear Mr Mullenger,

I am the grand daughter of Ruth Jost Arden, a soprano who sang at Bayreuth
before and during the war years.
My father was her only child (although she married six times!!!!) and I am
trying to research her life to write a book.
Her second husband was my grandfather Joan Fresco, also a composer and
recipient of the Nicholai prize of the Berliner Hochschule vor Musik. My
father has passed away and family information is sketchy to say the
least. She has always intrigued me and I found information about her through
the Bayreuth web information.
She is mentioned on Great Opera Recordings ( Naxos Historical 8.110094/95
ADD)

Before ordering this on CD, do you know of any other existing recordings
of her?????
I hoped to find some information on her performances in New York, where she
sang and when, any ideas how to find out??? I am currently living in
Washington DC.
Your help would be most appreciated.
