Beware Unauthorized Microsoft Posts!

Worm Disguises As A Microsoft Patch.

The email messages are quite realistic and may fool some users to open
the infected attachment.

Beware **SVEN Virus!**

Please do not download, view or open any messages that appear to come
from Microsoft with a patch file attached.

Microsoft does not attach patches to news group posts or email messages.

Nor do they they include links to their web site for patch installation.

Beware opening attachments with file extensions "txt", "vbs", "zip",
"exe", "scr" or "bat" (they have those characters after the "." in the
file name)! 

Watch out for attached files with two "."s (dots) in the name!! 

To combat the spread of e-mail viruses customers with a 'webtv.net'
domain will not be delivered e-mails if they contain an attachment that
has any of the following file formats:
BAT, .CMD, .COM, .EXE, .PIF, .SCR, .VBE, .VBS, .VBX .WSF, .WSH.
